About

Tangible Culture and Society Studies Network

The Tangible Culture and Society Studies Network is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of tangible cultural products—such as miniatures, handcrafted objects, and hobbyist models—produced and circulated in contemporary society.

Drawing from material culture studies, sociology of practice, and serious leisure theory, our research focuses on how these objects function within broader economic, social, and symbolic frameworks.

TCSSN aims to support academic inquiry, document emerging forms of hobby-based production, and facilitate dialogue between scholars and practitioners.

This website serves as an evolving archive, publication platform, and reference point for ongoing research.
